ginger Jingzhe Fan (b. 2002) works with drawing, writing, handmade electronics, and installation. Her practice begins from the idea that no object exists in isolation. By bringing materials together, she examines how they continue to affect one another across time, leaving traces that remain active in the present. For ginger, time exceeds its role as a neutral measure. It accumulates within matter and transforms it.

Born on Jingzhe, the third solar term in the Chinese agricultural calendar, when hibernating insects awaken, ginger sees the coincidence as an ongoing point of departure for thinking about ecological time and relationships between living beings and their surroundings.
ginger received her BFA from The Cooper Union in New York in 2025, where she was awarded the Robert Breer Film Prize. She currently lives in Beijing, where she works as an artist and trains in MMA.




樊婧哲（2002年出生）从事绘画、写作、手工电子装置和装置艺术创作。她的实践始于这样一个观念：没有任何物体是孤立存在的。通过将不同材料汇聚在一起，她考察它们如何在时间中持续地相互影响，留下的痕迹至今仍然活跃。对婧哲而言，时间不仅仅是中性的度量尺度，它积累于物质之中，并使之转化。

婧哲出生于中国农历二十四节气中的第三个节气——惊蛰，此时蛰伏的昆虫开始苏醒。她视这一巧合为持续的出发点，藉此思考生态时间，以及生物与其环境之间的关联。

婧哲于2025年获纽约库伯联盟学院艺术学士学位，期间曾获得罗伯特·布里尔电影奖。她目前生活和工作于北京，从事艺术创作，同时训练综合格斗。
